The New Mexico Environmental Department has proposed a Heat Illness and Injury Prevention Rule. This rule is open for public comment and is scheduled to be effective 7/1/2025. Applicable to all employers if an employee will be exposed to an 80 degree Fahrenheit heat index for greater than 15 Minutes.
